Collecting customer feedback is always a safe bet if you’re looking for a way to improve your business. From lowering churn, increasing product stickiness, and enhancing revenue, gathering customer feedback has plenty of benefits.

However, there are also plenty of tools built for this purpose. One of them is Qualaroo, “user research and customer feedback software,” as they dub themselves. Launched by the same people behind Proprofs, this is a popular option for any company looking to collect customer insights.

But how good is Qualaroo? And are there any better alternatives? Let’s find out.

A word about Qualaroo

Qualaroo boldly claims that their feedback software is 10x more valuable than email surveys when you land on their website.

Qualaroo lets you capture multiple types of feedback at once

To get to this point, Qualaroo offers several different tools in one:

  • Online surveys
  • Product and in-app feedback
  • AI sentiment analysis of the feedback you receive

In short, surveys and their varieties and types of widgets for collecting feedback. The AI sentiment analysis works by analyzing keywords from your customers’ feedback to quickly let you know if their feedback is good or not.

Qualaroo pricing starts at $80 per month, but you can try it for free before starting. The biggest issue is that you have to pay for an annual plan upfront, as there is no option of paying monthly. Practically, you’re going to have to pay $960 to use Qualaroo.

G2 reviews rate this tool at 4.4 out of 5, with 41 reviews.

Considering the limited features and the lack of a monthly plan, it’s only natural to feel some Qualaroo alternatives. Here are the best ones to try out today.

Quaraloo Alternative #1: Survicate

Are you looking for an effortless way to collect customer feedback? No matter where your customers are, you can use Survicate to find out what they think. Your website, email, app, or someplace else is a Survicate survey you can use.

There is much to like about Survicate, but let’s start with 80+ survey templates. There is a survey for every situation, from user experience surveys, content preference surveys, website feedback surveys, and many others. No matter the situation or the stage of the sales funnel, there is a survey template you can grab and use immediately.

Survicate plays well with a variety of different apps. There are integrations with CRMs such as Hubspot, email marketing tools like Mailchimp, communication tools like Slack, and many others. And for everything we don’t have, you can use a Zapier integration to hook things up.

Survicate’s survey editor is easy to use, and even if you’re not an experienced designer or developer, you can create surveys in as little as a few minutes. Sharing them is easy; you can do it effortlessly on your website or in an email.

There is a 10-day free trial with business features available. Paid plans start at $53 per month and unlock more active surveys and all the integrations.

Quaraloo Alternative #2: SurveyLab

Want to build more than surveys? We have a tool for creating more than surveys. SurveyLab has a versatile offer with surveys, forms, and quizzes. The surveys do not look as sleek and modern, but they are available on various apps, from mobiles to computers.

That’s it. You can choose to integrate your surveys with Slack, Salesforce, Dropbox, Zendesk, Cint, and Dynata. That’s it. There is no Zapier integration.

So far, SurveyLab is not looking very convincing, and the pricing does not help much either. You can grab the free trial to test it out, and the paid plans start at $49 per month. You must opt for the Professional plan at $249/month to unlock advanced survey logic and mobile responses. The cheapest plan gives you up to 2,500 survey responses per month.

In general, it’s not a compelling offer, but it could work well for someone who doesn’t need many survey responses per month.

Quaraloo Alternative #3: GetFeedback

This Qualaroo alternative seems like an enterprise solution for capturing customer feedback across different platforms and formats, but it’s essentially a tool that does surveys. Like competitors, GetFeedback focuses on different survey types (NPS, CSAT, CES) that can be used across other platforms.

You can capture this feedback on your website, mobile app, and even in emails and SMS chats with a few extra steps. You can get immediate notifications about new survey responses so you can react in time and fix issues before they snowball into crises.

You can’t see the pricing anywhere - you must get in touch to determine the cost. The free trial can be yours for 14 days, however. With some research, we found that the cheapest plan starts at $50 per month, which seems reasonable. However, this only gets you one integration (Salesforce) and does not include mobile surveys.

Quaraloo Alternative #4: Pulse Insights

If you’re looking for an enterprise solution for collecting feedback, this might be. Dubbing themselves the “enterprise zero party data platform,” Pulse Insights targets large companies looking to improve their customer experience by offering personalized customer feedback collection methods.

Don’t get confused by their website and offering - it’s a micro survey platform that lets you use advanced targeting to ask the right questions at the right time to the right audiences. Once you have their replies, the data gets stored in a central feedback repository where you can use it to guide future marketing and sales campaigns.

While the app may be confusing initially, it gets easier to use as time progresses. You can collect customer insights in various forms: top bar, bottom bar, inline, full screen, and more. We can customize all of the forms to match the rest of your website design fully.

Pricing is not public, and you’ll have to contact the company to determine how much you will pay. However, G2 has pricing information, and their quote is $4,000 per month, and you have to pay quarterly.

Pulse Insights has arguably the nicest look and feel out of the bunch here. However, they don’t have the functionalities of some much cheaper tools. Moreover, the pricing is hard to justify, even for enterprise companies.

Quaraloo Alternative #5: Doorbell

Doorbell promises a lot, and for the most part - it delivers. This is another survey tool that is fairly easy to use and set up. Copy and paste one line of code, and you can start adding surveys to your website or even in your mobile app. You can edit the surveys to fit your website design through CSS, and it’s also possible to add different languages.

If you’re looking for the types of feedback that you can collect… You’re going to have a hard time finding out. Their official website does not list what they do - whether it’s forms, surveys, or some other method for collecting feedback. They also don’t mention any survey templates to get you started.

Interestingly enough, they do have quite a few integrations, 30 to be exact. From project management tools to CRMs, to messaging tools like Slack and Twist, you’ll have plenty of tools to connect your feedback to or from.

Regarding pricing, Doorbell is pretty competitive at $29 per month. You get five users and complete feedback forms and responses. Interestingly, you don’t get any NPS surveys are not in this plan. There is a free plan, but it’s limited.

Quaraloo Alternative #6: mOpinion

Another well-known option in the customer experience space, Mopinion lets you capture customer feedback across platforms and devices. Many things seem involved, but it boils down to running surveys within your online platforms. However, mOpinion’s offer is pretty good.

All the basic survey types are covered in Mopinion's offering

Within the platform, you can run several different survey types:

  • NPS
  • CSAT
  • CES
  • GCR (goal completion rate)

The editor is easy to use and allows plenty of customization. The drag-and-drop interface lets you change colors, fonts, and designs, all the while choosing a variety of different question types. So you have all your basic survey needs covered.

The surveys are fully optimized across devices to look and feel the same on a tablet or a big PC monitor. The app also supports translations within the interface, so you can translate one survey into different languages and display it in the right language at the right time - which is a neat feature for international products.

Out of all the apps on this list, this is the second best-regarding integrations. You can look at their website to find a wide variety of apps it works with, including CRMs, communication tools, project management tools, and many others.

The problem with mOpinion is the pricing. While it has a great feature set, the price of $229 per month for the cheapest plan will be a bitter pill for many. And when you add to the fact that this plan has only one dashboard, no translations, and no in-app surveys, it makes more sense to look further.

Quaraloo Alternative #7: Refiner

Refiner is probably the most niche tool in this selection. While others target different kinds of businesses, Refiner was built for use in SaaS products only, be it a web or mobile application.

Laser targeted towards SaaS businesses, Refiner makes for a compelling Qualaroo alternative

This is reflected in the survey templates available: NPS, CSAT, product-market fit, product research, and many others. If you don’t want to use a template, you can easily start a survey from scratch and use common software features such as logic jumps and branching for full personalization and segmentation.

Surveys can be sent in three major ways: in-app, through emails, or on your website. You can analyze the results from a central dashboard and segment users based on their results. Refiner is not as covered as some competitors, with just 14 integrations total on the integration side. However, there is Zapier in case you need some extras.

Once surveys are complete, you can send the results straight to your email inbox, or you can get notified in your Slack workspace.

Given its feature set, Refiner is not incredibly expensive. At $79 per month, you get up to 5,000 monthly active users and all of the features mentioned above. The only real limitation is the number of dashboards you can create. You can also try it completely free for 14 days before moving on to a paid plan.

Wrapping up

Qualaroo is a good tool, but there are a few flaws, primarily because you can’t try it out monthly, and you’re immediately locked up into spending a large lump sum at once. Compared to the other entries here, the features and the overall offer are not that phenomenal either, so it’s worth looking into Qualaroo alternatives.

Speaking of which, Survicate is a Qualaroo alternative with everything you need to collect customer feedback in one place. Sign up today to get started! Also, you can foster your decision making by checking our newest ranking of best website satisfaction tools.
