Setting up and distributing the survey among your customers is hassle-free with Survicate as the tool guides you step-by-step through the process.Â
‍
1. Sign up and edit the survey template.
Start by clicking the "Send this survey for free" button above to sign up.Â
Once you do that, edit and customize the template according to your needs.Â
We recommend changing the survey background and colors to make the survey look on-brand.Â
‍
2. Decide on the distribution channel.Â
Now that your survey is ready think about the survey distribution channels you'll use.
If you're an e-commerce, you can either have the survey pop-up on your website, email it as a link, or use the live chat app to encourage the customers to take it. If you have your app, think about making it appear in the app.Â
If you run a brick-and-mortar, an excellent way to text your customers the link to the survey, email it to your customer base, or encourage customers to take it on coupon websites or online services enabling food ordering/accommodation booking, etc.
To make a choice, take into account the performance of your communication channels and when customers interact with them. Choose the touchpoint and the moment that ensures customers have enough time to take the survey.Â
‍
3. Connect 3rd party tools.Â
Follow the tool's guidelines to connect Survicate with your company's CRM or marketing automation tool - depending on the communication channel you're going for.Â
Optionally, enable the integration with Slack or Microsoft Teams. This way, you'll be able to access the survey responses directly in your team's communication tools.Â
‍
4. Distribute the survey.Â
Unless you're running the survey in your mobile app, you don't need any coding skills to distribute it to your customers.Â
If you want to send the survey in your live chat app or text to your customers base, use the link generated by the feedback collection tool.Â
If you decide it's best to email it, use the survey code generated by the tool and embed it in the email body using your marketing automation tool. In the case of emails, we recommend using the code rather than sending the survey as a link - it gives much better survey response rates.Â
If you're opting for a website as a survey distribution channel and it's the first time you're running a website survey with Survicate, use a tag manager to install the tracking code.Â
‍
5. Analyze the survey results and act.Â
Survicate gives you real-time access to survey responses that you can access in the tool panel (or have them flow directly into Slack or Teams).Â
It's a good practice to start monitoring the survey performance early on in the campaign. By doing so, you'll be able to quickly detect and fix potential issues like low response rates or mistakes in the questions flow.Â
If you're not a dab hand when it comes to surveys, send the survey in small batches. This way, you'll be able to add potential changes without skewing the results.Â
