This is a place where users can communicate with administrators, or administrators with one another. You can report vandalism, problematic users, or anything else that needs an administrator's intervention. Do not report child pornography or other potentially illegal content here; e-mail legal-reports@wikimedia.org instead. If reporting threatened harm to self or others also email emergency@wikimedia.org.

Report users for clear cases of vandalism. Block requests for any other reason should be reported to the blocks and protections noticeboard.

Reports that do not suit the vandalism noticeboard may be reported here. Requests for page protection/unprotection could also be requested here.


Other reports that require administrator assistance which do not fit in any of the previous three noticeboards may be reported here. Requests for history merging or splitting should be filed at COM:HMS.

User:Đại Việt quốc/Story of a recognized sockpuppet

This page has a lot of false accusations and personal attacks. Đại Việt quốc opened a checkuser case against another editor (the victim of "Story of a recognized sockpuppet"), but our checkuser DHN has refused to do it due to lack of evidences. @Yann: FYI, if such a page is not appropriate, then I'm happy to have it deleted. However, that user TUIBAJAVE has a whole collection of user pages containing "false accusations and personal attacks" against me as well as other users in the viwp project. I actually reported that at vi:Wikipedia:Tin nhắn cho bảo quản viên/Lưu 2023 3#Các trung tâm nghiên cứu xung đột của Khả Vân Đại Hãn, which user:Nguyentrongphu himself concluded that it does not violate anything, neither vi:Wikipedia:Trang thành viên and vi:Wikipedia:Những gì không phải là Wikipedia, despite the those two guidelines clearly indicated the violations. Đại Việt quốc is a LTA in Vi Wikipedia. He has been using socks since 2020. I've blocked probably 20-30 of his socks. The Vi Wikipedia community ignores him because he's a well-known sock and has caused a lot of trouble for the community. He wants to it to become a battleground. He has also threatened the community and said he wanted to stab TUIBAJAVE in real life. TUIBAJAVE is writing a list of pages on LTAs similar to this page in English Wikipedia. I am blocking User:Đại Việt quốc for a month and unilaterally deleting the obviously out-of-scope File:MyFirstBlog30Dec2023.pdf. If someone else decides to block User:Nguyentrongphu, I will not object. Before someone blocks me, let me at least explain myself. First of all, I NEVER wanted to import drama to Commons. I simply reported an incident then defended myself afterwards. After the warning from admin Jmabel, I already let it go. However, I saw a misused picture, so I simply reported Đại Việt quốc for the second time. That's all. If anything, I will just become a victim of collateral damage from reporting a misused image. As you all can see, my last 50 edits in Commons can trace back to 2010. That means I don't want to make any trouble here and have no intention to stick around. You guys will probably never see me again. Thank you for everything! Changes to Special:Tags

Could an administrator please change the tag for "computer-aided-tagging-revert" such that it can also be "Applied manually by users and bots". Background is that I'm planning to use that tag for this: User:SchlurcherBot/Mass revert computer-aided tagging (further details are also availible on this page). For some strange reason these two files are cascade protected so I can't edit them. Could please anyone add the Template:Urheberrechtlich geschützt? By German law, the movie unfortunately is still protected until 2042. For the png also the Template:Trademarked is missing. I removed the video from Commons:Auto-protected files/wikipedia/en, and added this template to both files. File:Steamboat Willie.png is protected because of some use on Chinese Wikipedia. I am not sure about the trademark. The character depicted in later versions of Mickey films is still under a copyright, but is there a trademark on this version? Request uncontroversial deletion of a file I uploaded

Could an administrator please delete this: File:Insurgent Mexico.djvu

I uploaded it using an importer script. I believe due to an incorrect choice when using that tool, the pages are misaligned with the text layer. I'd like to re-import, but I can't do so unless this file is deleted. -Pete Forsyth (talk) 00:40, 4 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

"Restrict MP3 uploads"

Hi, and welcome. I am sorry to inform you that you have triggered Special:AbuseFilter/192 by trying to upload an mp3 file with insufficient rights. Too many people try to upload audio files that are still copyrighted by the authors, performers, recorders, publishing companies, etc. without proper licenses from those people. Please document fully the sources and licenses of your audio uploads, and request Autopatrol group membership at COM:RFR when you think you are ready (once you have made more than 500 useful non-botlike edits); having that should allow you to upload mp3 files. Until then, you may reencode the audio into Vorbis or Opus and upload it with full documentation as an .ogg or .oga file (or use any other format accepted per COM:FT#Sound).   — 🇺🇦Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 14:36, 4 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Import blocked by spam disallow list

Hello, I'm trying to move w:File:LyricWiki Main Page.png over from wikipedia to commons. However, when I try that, I get

"Import failed

The text you wanted to publish was blocked by the spam filter. This is probably caused by a link to a forbidden external site. The following text is what triggered our spam disallow list: lyricwiki.org."

Is this because there is "LyricWiki" in the title? I tried removing all "LyricWiki" mentions in the description and it still dosen't work. Can an admin move this over or help otherwise? Thanks. TheImaCow (talk) 20:43, 4 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Almost all former Wikia/Gamepedia/now Fandom wikis are licenced under CC-BY-3.0 licence. Lyric wiki included. The Main page screenshot here dosen't include any potentially copyrighted lyrics. TheImaCow (talk) 07:48, 6 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Could someone please rename File:Lokrume helmet fragmant (GFB1683) 1.jpg to File:Lokrume helmet fragment (GFB1683) 1.jpg (typo of fragment)? I've added the {{Rename}} template and realize this isn't urgent, but I'm working in the article at the moment and it would be nice to get this sorted out quickly.   • @Usernameunique: I will do this, but this absolutely did not call for coming to the Administrators' noticeboard. It would have been fixed in the article when the file was moved, anyway.
